CEL has received reports of calls to Chicopee Residents where the caller is representing themselves as “The Electric Company.” The caller demands an over-the-phone payment or service will be disconnected.

These calls are SPAM and are NOT from CEL. We will never call residents demanding over-the-phone payment with the threat of immediate shut-off, our notices are provided in writing. If you are ever suspicious of a call similar to this, hang up and call us directly at (413) 598-8311.
